If You Can Not Skate, Litigate

Did Todd Bertuzzi get off easy? Steve Moore thinks so, but Moore could still get his own day in court by filing a civil lawsuit against Bert. On ESPN.com, Terry Frei puts himself in the erstwhile Av's skates, and weighs the pros and cons of a possible Moore v. Bertuzzi suit.

Meanwhile, former Buffalo bruiser Rob Ray is suing the NHLPA. According to Ray, Bob Goodenow personally promised he'd be covered by the union's lockout compensation fund. Ray believes he's been excluded as punishment for threatening to play as a scab.

Ray told Sports Illustrated "he looked right at me and said, 'Razor, even a guy like you that might not ever play the game again, you're being carried through this whole thing.' I'm like, 'Hey, that's cool.' And now this is happening."

Man, that Rob Ray has a Mamet-like ear for dialogue.
