Canine Companions for Independence Calendar is available for sale, which should interest... its target audience, whoever that may be. The 12-month calendar features compelling photographs of "members of the team with some furry friends." For just fifteen dollars, hockey/puppy fans can spend the entire year with pictures of "Kris Draper and Mikael Samuelsson posing with dogs in training from Canine Companions for Independence." Jiri Fischer, Mathieu Schneider, Brendan Shanahan and Jason Williams are also featured, "showing off their personal pooches" (not a euphemism, let's hope). It's just the thing for
somebody's cubicle, I'm sure.
As far as I can tell, these four-legged playmates-of-the-months for 2006 were photographed
au naturale, and not wearing
officially licensed NHL gear for dogs.
