Toronto Maple Leaf Clarke Wilm performed a somewhat difficult feat in last night's
loss to the Canucks. He earned an assist on Chad Kilger's shorthanded goal — without a stick. You can imagine how it happened: Having lost his stick on the penalty kill, Wilm went to the ice to block a shot, which bounced to Kilger, who carried the puck to the other end and scored a thrilling spin-around backhand goal. It was the stuff of highlight reels.
