There's been no shortage of weird hockey news over the past few weeks. Here are two items that we felt duty-bound to share:
01. SHANAHAN, TRANNY FAN:
The New York Post's always-perplexing Page Six reported on March 20th that the pride of the Rangers, Brendan Shanahan had been spotted in a hip nightspot. Nothing too weird about that, except that the power forward was
"blindfolded and ball-gagged as trannies danced around him."
02. NO DUI FOR DRUNKEN UPKEEP OF ICE
A Newark, New Jersey Zamboni driver is off the hook for drunk driving. CNN reported the Superior Court Judge's decision: In the eyes of the law,
"rink-grooming machines aren't motor vehicles." At least, we hope, the erstwhile rink-resurfacer knows now that beer should never be served on ice.
